Privacy policy

SkillBarter is run by Matthew Di Donato, an individual based in Castleford, UK. If you have any questions about your information, email hello@skillbarter.app.

• Waitlist details: first name, email, town, and the skill and help you tell us about.
• Your account email address and password (stored securely, never visible to us).
• Profile details: display name, photo, town, bio and skills.
• Your postcode district only (for example WF10) — never your full address.
• Messages you send to other members, and any reports you make.

To run the pilot and invite you in, to let members find each other and arrange swaps, to keep the community safe, and to contact you about SkillBarter if you've agreed to that.

We never sell your information or share it for marketing. Other signed-in members only see your public profile (name, photo, town, bio and skills) — never your email or postcode.

Your information is stored securely with our hosting provider.

Waitlist details are kept until the pilot opens or until you ask us to remove them. Account information is kept while your account is open, and deleted within 30 days of you asking us to close it. We may keep reports longer where needed to keep members safe.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time. Email hello@skillbarter.app and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
